Originally from the East Coast (Jersey in the house!) I can't remember a time that I wasn't fantasizing about performing. I loved performing, whether in community theater or pursuing it professionally in NY and then here in Los Angeles. Once I made the decision to transition from acting to casting, I fell in love.....again.  Casting has allowed me to nurture my creative side through script analysis, reading with actors, and directing them in the room or online.

As a former actor, I understand the audition process intimately-the preparation, the nerves, the uncertainty, and the importance of letting it all go once the audition is done. I've been in your shoes and deeply empathize with the actor's journey. Now, with over 12 years of experience in casting, I've gained valuable insight into what casting directors are truly looking for.  I'm passionate about sharing this knowledge with actors while providing the constructive feedback that's often missing in today's self-tape-driven era.

Now that there are less and less auditions in offices, and self tapes are pretty much here to stay, I've noticed with many of the reads I've gotten, it seems as if actors are focused solely on their memorization of the material or responding to the person they are talking to. It is your script analysis homework and how you listen and react that should be equally important. My goal is to provide actors with insight that will help them feel confident in their choices, and secure with their submitted tapes.
